bible Studies

The Pastor's Congregational Bible Studies

Meets Wednesdays at 6:45 am and 9:30 am at 700 Main. The study is usually conducted by our directing pastor, Dr. Timothy L. Bias, with other pastors and staff as periodic guest leaders.

Disciple Bible Study

Disciple Bible Study is a series of five disciplined Bible studies aimed at developing strong Christian leaders through regular, indepth study of Scripture. Classes are offered beginning in the fall of each year..

Disciple I - Becoming Disciples Through Bible Study is a 34 week journey through the biblical story from Genesis to Revelation, which emphasizes the people and events that played a major role in the story of the Bible.

Disciple II - Into the Word Into the World is a 32 week study of Genesis, Exodus, Luke, and Acts. It includes Creation, the Covenant and the Exodus, and the story of Jesus and the early Christian Church.

Disciple III - Remember Who You Are is a 33 week study of the Old Testament prophets and kings and selected New Testament writings of the Apostle Paul.

Disciple IV - Under the Tree of Life is a 32 week study of the Old Testament Writings (Ruth, Psalms, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, Proverbs, Daniel), the Gospel of John and the Book of Revelation.

Disciple, 2nd Generation Study - Jesus in the Gospels is a 30 week study that compares the life of Jesus as found in the four Gospels. The study sheds light on topics including Jesus' destiny, His ministry, His teachers, and Who He is.

Bible Basics

Bible Basic classes are designed to help partipants grow in their knowledge of the Bible in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance.

Bible Basics I is a five week class that looks at the Bible as a book answering four basic questions:

  • Why should we study the Bible?

  • How is the Bible organized?

  • How do I read the Bible?

  • How do I study the Word of God?

Bible Basics II is a five week class that looks at all the books of the Bible from Genesis to Revelation answering the basic questions of:

  • Who wrote the Book?

  • What does the Book say?

  • Why was it written?

  • When was it written?

  • How does it apply to my life?

Men's Bible Studies

The Men's Ministry holds Bible study opportunities at various times during the year. Some of the studies include; a critical study of the Book of James and the Biblical concept of justification and BASIC training.

Short-term Studies

Other short-term studies are offered periodically. Watch for new classes!
