The FRAN Plan

Jesus clearly understood his life mission on earth at age 12 he said, "I must be about my Father's business." (Luke 2:49) Twenty-one years later dying on a cross he said, "It is finished" (John 19:30) Jesus said, "As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." John 20:21

Below is the "FRAN Plan". You are invited to take time today and prayerfully consider who is in your network of relationships that does not have the hope that you have in Jesus. As you fill out this form, there is a convenant at the bottom asking you to pray for these persons and to be attentive and listen carefully to the nudging of the Holy Spirit to develope that relationship further and to invite them to worship, study and ultimately to meet the living God we know in Jesus.

Dr. Timothy L. Bias

I commit myself to:

  • Pray daily for the persons I have listed below

  • Be attentive and listen carefully to the nudging of the Holy Spirit to develop our relationship further

  • Invite them to worship, Bible Study, or Growth Group

  • Invite them to meet Jesus Christ

Friend - Jesus said…"Go home to your friends, and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy he has shown you" (Mark 5:19).

Relative - He (Andrew) first found his brother Simon…He brought Simon to Jesus" (John 1:41-42).

Associate - Philip found Nathanael and said…"We have found…Jesus" (John 1:45).

Neighbor - The woman…went back to the city. She said to the people, "Come and see (Jesus)" (John 4:28-29).

You are being asked to commit yourselves to do some special acts of kindness like write a note, send a email, make a phone call, to express appreciation to those for whom we are praying.

I encourage you to follow through on your FRAN plan. This is what you are being asked to do:

  • Pray daily for a(n) friend, relative, associate, and neighbor who God has given to you. Pray for your own relationship with them, that it may be one in which God's love is shared.

  • At an appropriate time, invite them to worship with you or to participate in a special event at the church. It might be a special celebration, choir concert, Christmas Eve worship, or another time when you discern that it is right for the invitation.

  • As your relationship grows and deepens, be prepared to share with each of them the greatest relationship of your life. At an appropriate time, share with them why you are an involved in the church and what your involvement means to you.

Paul wrote in his letter to Philemon, “I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective when you perceive all the good that we may do for Christ” (Philemon 6).

We look forward to celebrating with you as those whom you invite begin to say “yes” to your invitation.
